Iraqis Running the Show now!
This article caught my eye. Thanks to a media that doesn't really seem to have a clue, I had assumed that the "transition was going to all happen at once on the 30th. Apparently, it has been happening gradually and the 30th was just a ceremonial date. I think it was clever to do it a couple of days early ... take an obvious terrorist opportunity away and emphasize to the Iraqis that this was what we want to happen.
