An Interesting Question
When you look at various protests, a goodly portion of them made up of groups that aren't, on the surface, ven slightly related to issues of war and peace. For example,
"women's groups". But do those groups even conside the situation of actual Iraqi women, such as Um Haydar? Wouldn't one expect a group that purports to be pro-woman at least have something to say about the life of actual women in Iraq? One could still be against the war for pragmatic reasons and condemn Iraq... so why the silence?
